The Right Content Mix: Organic vs. Paid
Acquiring new collaborations is great—it means that brands think the business you’ve built is valuable, and would be helpful in promoting their product. However as we have discussed before, you always need to make sure that each partnership is a good fit with your brand aesthetic. You obviously want each partnership to resonate with your audience, but you also have to make sure that you’re not just bombarding them with sponsored content. If you do, you run the risk of driving them away, because it can feel like you only produce content that is sponsored (and they came to you for much more than that). At the same time, you have a business to run and you need to make money. So how do you balance the two?
